Dyffryn Springs is an established fishery on the western outskirts of Cardiff. There are currently six lakes on site: Waycock, Thaw, Goldsland, Reservoir, Wallace and Worleton. These are all fed from springs providing the highest quality water. Trout Fishing Tuition is available with resident instructor Mat Holloway who is a qualified institutor holding the Salmon and Trout Association's National Instructors Certificate. Tuition must be booked in advance.

The Lakes -Dyffryn Springs is an established fishery on the western outskirts of Cardiff within two minutes of Culverhouse Cross and five of Junction 33 of the M4. The Fishery is situated in the beautiful open countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan in the small village of Dyffryn. Waycock is a coarse water at about three acres, Stocked with Carp to over 20lbs, Ide, Tench, Roach and Bream. Reservoir - A well established coarse lake of about two acres, with some very big Grass and Common Carp, Record size Perch and beautiful Tench and Ide. Thaw- A silver fish lake, with some superb tench. Goldsland - The largest of our four lakes at about four acres, heavily stocked with Carp, Perch, Ide and Bream with bags of over 100lbs a common occurrence. Rules • No dogs or other animals • All anglers require an Environment Agency Rod Licence • No angler may fish before buying a permit • Tickets are not transferable • Maximum of two spectators per angler, £2.50 each • Anglers must have a landing net. No keep nets. Minimum 6lb bs line. Barbless hooks only • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 18 • Please do not discard litter or tackle; use the bins provided • Anglers must allow staff to inspect tackle if requested • No wading • No radios • No fires & no barbecues |
