Lamby Pond is a small pond/lake just situated at the side of the Lamby Industrial estate and opposite the main Lamby Carp and Coarse lake. This lake used to stock some incredible fish including some massive carp well up in the high doubles with famous names such as "Buster" who suddenly went missing one year. The lake is also stocked with a variety of silver fish as well as Chub and Tench that seem to grow to a good size considering the lake is so small with only around 10 pegs in total. No ledger fishing is allowed as it is only small so it s perfect for the match fisherman and pole fanatics.
The lake was hit bad a terrible disaster oe year when a car cam off the road and was driven direct into the lake and all the petrol and oil spilled into the lake poisoning it and killing most of the fish stock. The team that looks after this lake, Clive Roberts, has been carefully restocking and getting the lake back to how it used to fish years ago and i was done there myself only last year and we saw quite a few tidy size carp and bream coning out with loads of others such as roach, rudd, perch and skimmer bream. This lake is a pleasure to fish and if you love pole fishing then this is surely a venue for you as it only costs £4.50 for a full days fishing (Tickets available on the bank) |
